Not directly. Brotato has local co-op for 2 to 4 players, but no built-in online mode. On PC you can still play with friends over the internet using Steam Remote Play Together, and only the host has to own the game.
How to play Brotato online on Steam
- The host starts Brotato and turns on Co-op above the character select screen.
- The host opens the Steam overlay and invites friends to Remote Play Together.
- Friends join and see a stream of the host's game.
- Each extra player presses a button on their controller to join in.
Remote players need a controller. Since it's a video stream, your connection to the host decides how it feels, and a fast-moving game like this one shows lag quickly. If it's bad, try a closer host.
