Fisherman: Spearfisher
Danger 5Mediumfor v1.1 + Paws & Claws · updated 2026-11-01
Six Spears and a careful Bait habit. Bait is free for Fisherman and each one adds damage and Harvesting, but it also summons special enemies, so buy it at a pace your damage can handle.
Stat priority
Weapons
| Weapon | Copies | Role | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spear | 6 | core | Long reach, one class, full set bonus. The standard Fisherman weapon. |
Items
| Item | Priority | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Bait | must | Free in every shop. Each copy adds +8% Damage and +2 Harvesting for Fisherman. |
| Dangerous Bunny | should | A free reroll every shop to find more Bait. |
| Spyglass | should | Cheaper rerolls and a little range. |
| Lure | should | Extra loot aliens and a bit of regen. |
| Whetstone | should | Life steal for melee sustain. |
| Tardigrade | nice | Ignores one hit every wave, nice when Bait enemies swarm. |
Avoid
- Sad Tomato — Starting waves at half HP is dangerous with Bait enemies around.
- Weird Ghost — Starting a wave on 1 HP ends runs.
Run plan
Early (waves 1–6)
One or two Bait per shop. Skip it before elite and boss waves. Fight near a wall so enemies come from one side.
Mid (waves 7–12)
Two or three Bait per shop once the Spears hold. Build armor and dodge (aim for 20–30% by wave 10).
Late (waves 13–20)
Buy every Bait you see and reroll for more. Dodge towards 60%.
Why it works
- Bait scales both damage and economy, so a Fisherman who paces it well snowballs harder than almost anyone.
- Spears let you hit the special enemies before they reach you.
- How much Bait to buy early is the main argument between players. Start slow.
