Best Brotato weapons: highest DPS for melee, ranged and starting weapons

Updated 2026-11-03 · for 1.2.0.0

For raw base damage, these are the strongest weapons in Brotato at tier IV. This ranks the numbers and isn't a tier list. It leaves out your stats, set bonuses and special effects, and those can change the order a lot. Legendary weapons are in their own list.

Why DPS isn't everything

  • Scaling matters more later. A weapon that gains a lot from your stats can pass one with better base numbers. Weapon pages show how each one scales.
  • Some damage isn't counted. Burning, explosions and other effects don't all appear in the base number, so weapons built around them look weak here.
  • Range keeps you alive. A lower DPS weapon that hits from further away can still be the better choice.
  • Set bonuses add up. Six weapons of one class give a bonus worth planning around.

Sort every weapon yourself on the weapons page, and check builds to see which ones work for your character.
