Glutton guide — how to play Glutton in Brotato

Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws

Consumables explode and feed explosion damage; eat your way to a win. Our tier list puts Glutton in B tier: Consumables heal and empower. Depends on drop luck.

The stat line

  • +50 Luck
  • +1% Explosion Damage when picking up a consumable while at maximum health
  • Consumable have a 100% chance to explode for 10 (500% Melee Damage) damage when picked up
  • +25% Items Price
  • -25% XP Gain

Unlock: Pick up 20 consumables during a run. Winning a run unlocks Spicy Sauce.

How the run plays

+50 Luck means more consumables, every consumable explodes for melee-scaled damage, and picking one up at full health adds explosion damage permanently. The Glutton wants to be healthy and hungry: stand on fruit when enemies are near. Melee Damage scales the explosions.

Weapons

Glutton fits the Blunt or Heavy classes best. Start with Spoon and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Blunt class with per-tier damage.

What to buy, what to skip

Luck, Melee Damage, Consumable-tag items, Explosion items.

The shop favours Consumable, Explosive (Item Tag), Melee Damage items for Glutton, so expect to see these often: Lemonade, Boxing Glove, Charcoal, Claw Tree, Defective Steroids, Weird Food, Goat Skull, Hedgehog.

The mistake that ends runs

Eating consumables away from enemies; the explosion is the point.
