Jack guide — how to play Jack in Brotato

Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws

Fewer enemies, but elites and bosses are the whole game — and the whole payout. Our tier list puts Jack in A tier: Elite and boss damage, more materials from them. Danger 5 feeds it.

The stat line

  • +125% damage against bosses and elites
  • +200% materials dropped
  • -70% Enemies
  • +175% Enemy health
  • +35% Enemy damage
  • Note: On higher danger levels, only Elites spawn, never hordes

Unlock: Kill a boss or an elite in less than 15 seconds. Winning a run unlocks Giant Belt.

How the run plays

+125% damage against bosses and elites, +200% materials dropped and -70% enemies make waves sparse and elites rich. Enemy health is up 175%, so the normal enemies that do spawn are tanky; the build wants single-target burst and boss damage items. Co-op with a Gangster spawns the elites you want.

Weapons

Jack fits the Precise or Gun classes best. Start with Knife, Shuriken, Laser Gun, Revolver, Crossbow, Icicle and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Precise class with per-tier damage.

What to buy, what to skip

Boss-damage items, Crit, Ranged Damage, Max HP.

The shop has no favoured tags for this character.

The mistake that ends runs

Horde-clearing weapons; there is no horde.

Co-op partners

  • King — Extra elites are extra payouts for the elite-damage character.
  • Gangster — Gangster's thefts spawn elites. Jack deals bonus damage to elites and takes bonus materials from them.
