Knight guide — how to play Knight in Brotato
Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws
Armor is melee damage; buys only tier II and above. Our tier list puts Knight in B tier: Armor-scaling melee on medieval weapons. Solid, rarely spectacular.
The stat line
- +2 Melee Damage for every 1 Armor you have
- +3 Armor
- You can't equip ranged weapons
- You can only equip tier 2 weapons or above
- % Attack Speed modifications are reduced by 50%
- Harvesting modifications are reduced by 80%
Unlock: Win a run in Danger 4. Winning a run unlocks Plasma Sledge.
How the run plays
+2 Melee Damage per Armor and +3 Armor to start make every armour item an attack item. Ranged weapons are off and so are Tier I weapons, which raises the price of the rack early. Medieval weapons give armour as a set bonus, which is the obvious class.
Weapons
Knight fits the Medieval class best. Start with Sword, Jousting Lance, Quarterstaff, Vorpal Sword, Mace and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Medieval class with per-tier damage.
What to buy, what to skip
Armor items, Medieval weapons, Max HP. Tier II+ only, so budget early.
The shop favours Armor items for Knight, so expect to see these often: Helmet, Duct Tape, Metal Plate, Leather Vest, Medal, Ball and Chain, Barricade, Warrior Helmet.
The mistake that ends runs
Dodge items; the character scales with Armor and nothing else.
