The stat line

• Hitting an enemy that has less than 25% health has a 5% (50% Max HP) chance to charm it for 8 seconds
• +50 Range with melee weapons
• -3% Damage for every 5 Curse you have
• -1 Armor for every 5 Curse you have
• +1 Curse at the end of a wave

Romantic comes with the Abyssal Terrors DLC. Unlock: Finish a run with 0 Curse. Winning a run unlocks Flute.

How the run plays

A chance to charm enemies below 25% health for 8 seconds turns the crowd into bodyguards, and +50 Range on melee weapons lets you fight from a safer distance. Curse reduces damage here, so Abyssal curse items are off. A quirky melee build that gets safer as charms stack.

Weapons

Romantic fits the Blade or Unarmed classes best. Start with Chopper, Fist, Claw and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Blade class with per-tier damage.
