Wildling guide — how to play Wildling in Brotato
Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws
Primitive weapons steal life; nothing above tier II. Our tier list puts Wildling in B tier: Primitive weapons with a nature theme. Fine, not fast.
The stat line
- +30% Life Steal with Primitive weapons
- You start with 1 Stick
- You can't equip weapons above tier 2
Unlock: Kill 10000 enemies. Winning a run unlocks Hatchet.
How the run plays
+30% Life Steal with Primitive weapons and a Stick start, but no weapons above Tier II. The rack is six cheap Primitive weapons and the scaling is Melee Damage plus the Primitive set bonus. Cheap weapons mean the shop budget goes to items.
Weapons
Wildling fits the Primitive class best. Start with Stick, Spear, Torch, Rock, Cacti Club, Hatchet and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Primitive class with per-tier damage.
What to buy, what to skip
Primitive weapons to Tier II, Melee Damage, Max HP, Attack Speed.
The shop has no favoured tags for this character.
The mistake that ends runs
Saving for Tier III weapons that cannot be equipped.
