Musical weapons guide — set bonus, every weapon, who should build it
Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws
Two weapons and a Luck bonus; a pair you hold early and sell by wave 10. 2 weapons carry the Musical tag; the set bonus below applies for every Musical weapon you hold at once, duplicates included.
Set bonus
| Weapons held | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 2 | +5 Luck |
| 3 | +10 Luck |
| 4 | +15 Luck |
| 5 | +20 Luck |
| 6 | +25 Luck |
How a Musical build plays
Flute and Lute are the only Musical weapons, both Tier I starters from Paws & Claws. The set bonus at two is +5 Luck, which makes the pair a decent opener: better drops in the first shops when Luck matters most. Lute is also Support for a Harvesting bonus with other Support weapons. Neither scales into the late game, so plan to sell them once the real set reaches four.
Every Musical weapon
Numbers are the lowest tier the weapon exists at; open a weapon for all four tiers and its scaling.
| Weapon | Tiers | Damage | Cooldown | DPS | Crit | Range | Also |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flute | 1–4 | 6 | 1.03s | 5.8 | – | 300 | – (DLC) |
| Lute | 1–4 | 4 | 1.31s | 3.1 | – | 150 | Support (DLC) |
The core of a six-of set is usually Flute, Lute; the rest fill in as the shop offers them.
Characters that fit the class
No character leans on Musical specifically; it works as a secondary set on anyone whose weapons already carry the tag.
Overlapping classes
Musical weapons also count as Support, so a Musical rack can trigger a second set bonus without an extra slot. The weapons list filters by class.
The mistake that ends runs
Keeping both past wave 10 for the Luck. By then the slots are worth far more than +5 Luck.
See the set bonus ranking for how Musical compares with the other sixteen classes, or test a rack in the build planner.
