Support weapons guide — set bonus, every weapon, who should build it
Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws
Weak weapons that pay Harvesting; an economy set you hold early and replace. 7 weapons carry the Support tag; the set bonus below applies for every Support weapon you hold at once, duplicates included.
Set bonus
| Weapons held | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 2 | +5 Harvesting |
| 3 | +10 Harvesting |
| 4 | +15 Harvesting |
| 5 | +20 Harvesting |
| 6 | +25 Harvesting |
How a Support build plays
Support weapons do little damage — Hand does 1, Pruner 10, Potato Thrower 3 at range — and the set bonus is up to +25 Harvesting. That is a lot of Harvesting if you have it on wave 3, and nothing if you have it on wave 15. The play is two or three Support weapons in the opening shops for the bonus, then selling them as damage weapons arrive. Pacifist, who cannot deal damage anyway, keeps them all run.
Every Support weapon
Numbers are the lowest tier the weapon exists at; open a weapon for all four tiers and its scaling.
| Weapon | Tiers | Damage | Cooldown | DPS | Crit | Range | Also |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pruner | 1–4 | 10 | 1.14s | 8.8 | 3% | 150 | – |
| Hiking Pole | 1–4 | 12 | 1.42s | 8.4 | – | 175 | – (DLC) |
| Taser | 1–4 | 7 | 0.95s | 7.4 | 3% | 200 | Elemental |
| Sickle | 1–4 | 5 | 0.87s | 5.8 | – | 125 | – (DLC) |
| Lute | 1–4 | 4 | 1.31s | 3.1 | – | 150 | Musical (DLC) |
| Hand | 1–4 | 1 | 1.01s | 1 | 1% | 150 | Unarmed |
| Potato Thrower | 2–4 | 3 | 0.45s | 6.7 | 3% | 500 | – |
The core of a six-of set is usually Pruner, Potato Thrower, Taser, Hiking Pole, Sickle; the rest fill in as the shop offers them.
Characters that fit the class
- Builder — Materials you leave on the ground become turret range and attack speed.
- Pacifist — Living enemies pay you at wave end; killing is the opposite of the plan.
Overlapping classes
Support weapons also count as Elemental, Musical, Unarmed, so a Support rack can trigger a second set bonus without an extra slot. The weapons list filters by class.
The mistake that ends runs
Reaching six Support on a damage character. The Harvesting never repays the six slots of missing damage.
See the set bonus ranking for how Support compares with the other sixteen classes, or test a rack in the build planner.
