Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws
Bait spawns special enemies and pays harvesting per bait held. Our tier list puts Fisherman in A tier: Piercing water damage with a built-in economy. Easy Endless scaling.
The stat line
- +5 Max HP
- +20 Harvesting
- Shops always sell a Bait
- -100% Bait price
- +2 Harvesting for every 1 Bait you have
- Baits make some special enemies spawn throughout all future waves
- -50% materials dropped from enemies
Unlock: Get 2 Bait during a run. Winning a run unlocks Lure.
How the run plays
Shops always sell a Bait for free, each Bait adds +2 Harvesting and spawns special enemies that drop materials. +20 Harvesting and the Harpoon Gun start make it a ranged economy build. Pierce items let the harpoons clear the bait spawns.
Weapons
Fisherman fits the Gun or Precise classes best. Start with Knife, Sharp Tooth, Scissors, Pistol, SMG, Crossbow and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Gun class with per-tier damage.
What to buy, what to skip
Every Bait, Harvesting, Ranged Damage, Piercing. Abyssal Terrors only.
The shop has no favoured tags for this character.
The mistake that ends runs
Skipping Baits because the special enemies look dangerous; they are the income.
Co-op partners
- Loud — More enemies means more drops, and the economy character turns the extra materials into shops for the whole team.
- Builder — An economy partner keeps materials dropping while the builder leaves them on the ground.
- Multitasker — The shared economy pays for a character whose shops are unusually expensive.
