Pacifist guide — how to play Pacifist in Brotato

Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws

Living enemies pay you at wave end; killing is the opposite of the plan. Our tier list puts Pacifist in C tier: Materials for not killing. Wins Danger 0, struggles above.

The stat line

  • Gain 0.65 material and XP for every living enemy at the end of a wave
  • You start with 1 Lumberjack Shirt
  • -100% Damage
  • -100 Engineering

Unlock: Collect 10000 materials. Winning a run unlocks Panda.

How the run plays

0.65 materials and XP per living enemy at wave end with -100% Damage and -100 Engineering: the Pacifist survives the timer and gets paid for the crowd. Dodge, Armor and Speed are the whole build; the Lumberjack Shirt start clears trees that would block kiting. Strong in co-op with a damage partner who kills late.

Weapons

Pacifist fits the Support class best. Start with Hand, Taser, Pruner and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Support class with per-tier damage.

What to buy, what to skip

Dodge, Speed, Armor, Max HP, Harvesting.

The shop favours Max HP, HP Regeneration, Armor items for Pacifist, so expect to see these often: Weird Ghost, Alien Worm, Cake, Helmet, Jelly, Plant, Defective Steroids, Duct Tape.

The mistake that ends runs

Any damage item; it cannot kill and would reduce the payout anyway.

Co-op partners

  • Builder — An economy partner keeps materials dropping while the builder leaves them on the ground.
  • Multitasker — The shared economy pays for a character whose shops are unusually expensive.
  • Loud — More enemies means more drops, and the economy character turns the extra materials into shops for the whole team.
