Saver guide — how to play Saver in Brotato

Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws

Materials in the bank are damage; prices are higher. Our tier list puts Saver in B tier: Materials into damage. Needs restraint in the shop.

The stat line

  • +15 Harvesting
  • +1% Damage for every 25 Materials you have
  • You start with 1 Piggy Bank
  • +50% Item & Weapon Price

Unlock: Collect 20000 materials. Winning a run unlocks Padding.

How the run plays

+1% Damage per 25 materials held and the Piggy Bank start reward keeping a balance; +50% item and weapon price means every purchase has to earn its place. The trick is a stable balance that grows slowly while you buy only run-defining items.

Weapons

Saver fits the Gun or Blade classes best. Start with Chopper, Pistol, Revolver, Laser Gun and hold six weapons of one class for the set bonus; the weapons list shows everything in the Gun class with per-tier damage.

What to buy, what to skip

Harvesting early, then only must-have items; Max HP when cheap.

The shop has no favoured tags for this character.

The mistake that ends runs

Spending down every shop like a normal character; the bank is the build.

Co-op partners

  • Loud — More enemies means more drops, and the economy character turns the extra materials into shops for the whole team.
  • Multitasker — The shared economy pays for a character whose shops are unusually expensive.
  • Builder — An economy partner keeps materials dropping while the builder leaves them on the ground.
