Precise weapons guide — set bonus, every weapon, who should build it

Updated 2026-11-01 · for v1.1 + Paws & Claws

High base crit and a crit bonus from the set; the class where Crit Chance items are damage items. 11 weapons carry the Precise tag; the set bonus below applies for every Precise weapon you hold at once, duplicates included.

3 +6% Crit Chance
4 +9% Crit Chance
5 +12% Crit Chance
6 +15% Crit Chance

How a Precise build plays

Precise weapons start with real crit: Knife 20%, Shuriken 35%, Crossbow 30%, Sniper Gun 20% with 800 range. The set adds up to +15% Crit Chance, and crit multipliers in the class run 2× or higher, so a six-Precise rack with a few Crit items crits on most hits. Knives and Shurikens are cheap and fast; Sniper Gun gives the rack a boss weapon. Scale Crit Chance to 100%, then flat Melee or Ranged Damage depending on which weapons you hold.

Every Precise weapon

Numbers are the lowest tier the weapon exists at; open a weapon for all four tiers and its scaling.

The core of a six-of set is usually Knife, Shuriken, Crossbow, Sniper Gun, Thief Dagger, Claw; the rest fill in as the shop offers them.

Characters that fit the class

  • Arms Dealer — Weapons cost almost nothing, so the Arms Dealer buys six Tier IVs before anyone else has three.
  • Captain — Empty weapon slots are XP, and level-ups are worth double.
  • Crazy — Fast knives with huge range; crit is the whole plan.
  • Diver — Harpoon Gun for free, and Precise crits hit for triple.
  • Explorer — A bigger map, faster feet, and materials from wandering.
  • Fisherman — Bait spawns special enemies and pays harvesting per bait held.
  • Hiker — Steps are money and steps are health; never stop walking.
  • Hunter — Range is damage, crit scales harder, and harvesting is off the table.
  • Jack — Fewer enemies, but elites and bosses are the whole game — and the whole payout.
  • One Armed — One weapon only, at triple attack speed with doubled damage modifiers.
  • Ranger — Ranged damage scales 50% harder; the safest learning character.
  • Wounded — Dies in one hit. A challenge run, not a build.

Overlapping classes

Precise weapons also count as Elemental, Medieval, Unarmed, Medical, Primitive, Gun, Legendary, so a Precise rack can trigger a second set bonus without an extra slot. The weapons list filters by class.

The mistake that ends runs

Mixing melee and ranged Precise without thinking: Knife scales with Melee Damage, Sniper Gun with Ranged. Two flat stats means half the scaling.

See the set bonus ranking for how Precise compares with the other sixteen classes, or test a rack in the build planner.
